Ride to Care
Ride to Care
Free transportation for
initial injury care
Agile now provides free transportation only for initial injury care. The employer calls one number, we arrange the ride through Uber Health, and the employee receives a text with pickup instructions. The employer receives text updates when the employee arrives at the clinic and when the return ride is on its way.
There is no cost to the employer or the employee. Ride to Care is for initial injury care only — it does not cover follow-up, recheck, or therapy visits.

Agile offers free transportation for new injuries
When someone on your team gets hurt, the first question is usually who will drive them. That often means pulling a supervisor off the floor, and it puts your company in the position of transporting an injured employee in a personal vehicle.
We have a better option available to you now at no cost for initial injury care only. Ride to Care sends an Uber to your location and brings your injured employee to the nearest Agile Occupational Medicine center for initial injury care only. You call one number; we handle the rest. Your employee gets a text with pickup instructions, and you get a text when they arrive at the clinic and again when their return ride is on the way.

Please note:
Frequently asked questions:
Does this cost us anything?
No. There is no cost to the employer or the employee, and no change to your agreement.
Can we use it for follow-up visits or physical therapy?
No. Ride to Care is for initial injury care only. It does not cover follow-up appointments, recheck exams, or physical therapy visits. If you need transportation for those, that is arranged the way it is today.
What if the injury happened yesterday?
We cannot arrange a ride for an injury sustained the prior day. Ride to Care covers only same-day injuries and initial injury care, which is why calling the number right away matters.
What if it is a serious injury?
Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Do not wait for a ride. Ride to Care is for non-emergency initial injury care only, where the employee can travel safely in a standard vehicle.
Will the driver take our employee home afterward?
The return trip goes back to the address the employee was picked up from. If they need to get home from there, it is arranged as it normally would be.
What if our employee does not have a smartphone?
The instructions arrive by text message, so the employee needs a cell phone that can receive texts. Let us know when you call if that is a problem, and we will work through it with you.
What if our employee does not speak English?
Tell us the preferred language when you call , and the text will be sent in that language.
What if our employee uses a wheelchair?
Tell us when you call so the center is prepared for their arrival.
Who do we call?
One number: 936-220-1607. That is the only number for Ride to Care, and it is for initial injury care only. Post it wherever your team looks when an injury happens.
